Writer

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic writer who loves to write news-style stories. Main portion of the duties involves writing a daily story to be posted on a website and also distributed in a weekly newsletter format to residents and managers a group of senior care facilities in Western Canada. This group of facilities has progressive, modern management and operates under Eden model of care, that sees places where Elders live as habitats for human beings rather than facilities for the frail and elderly.

Writing of the stories includes research, following up on suggested story ideas, interviewing, writing draft and final copy. This position may also involve some online publishing and electronic distribution.

This is part time contract position (9am to 12am daily) with some flexible hours available. Remuneration is $22 -$25/hour depending on experience.

Hours will be flexible for the right person. This is a great contract position for someone who wants to write more news style stories and do less of copywriting, have a steady client with $1200 + monthly income and still an opportunity to do other things.
